authority is an important part of nature. it is a potent, instinctual force rooted in the primordial heart of all life, and laying dormant in any place without life. it is like pornography in so far as the most effective way of defining authority is: you will know it when you see it. as such, the only healthy hierarchy is an ephemeral one.
nationalism is the death throes of empire, and linear hierarchy is a soul waiting to flee.
